“The total volume of traffic amounted to 3 million passengers, an increase of 6.3% compared to the same period in 2022, including 2.3 million passengers carried on domestic lines, which is 12.1% higher than in 2022,” — says in the message.
At the same time, the volume of transportation on international flights amounted to 624,300 passengers, having decreased by 10.9% year-on-year. Passenger turnover increased by 18.4%.
It is specified that the passenger traffic of the parent airline Aeroflot in February amounted to 1.5 million people, an increase of 21.3%. On international lines, traffic also fell by 5% to 476,600 people. At the same time, the company carried more than 1 million passengers on domestic flights, increasing passenger traffic by 38.3%. Passenger turnover increased by 38.8%.
Aeroflot Group includes Aeroflot, Pobeda and Rossiya airlines. At the end of 2022, the group transported 40.7 million passengers, including 35.3 million on domestic flights. At the same time, the company’s passenger traffic in 2022 decreased by 11.2% compared to 2021 (45.8 million passengers). This was due to a decrease in the volume of international traffic last year by 36.9%, to 5.3 million passengers (against 8.4 million a year earlier).
Passenger traffic of Aeroflot Airlines in 2022 also decreased by 4.1%, to 20.5 million people. Along with an increase in the volume of domestic traffic by 7.6%, the volume of traffic on international routes decreased by 34.9% compared to 2021.
