Airbus A320/A321 and Boeing 737 aircraft of Aeroflot Airlines will no longer be able to connect to streaming services in the entertainment system. The carrier explained the temporary shutdown of services by the refusal of foreign companies to provide multimedia services. They promised to soon replace them with a “domestic solution.”
In a press release in Telegram channel Aeroflot specifies that alternative Russian streaming services will become available to passengers by the new year. So far, company representatives offer their customers to read a book in flight, sleep, or “take stock of the year.”
The entertainment system of Aeroflot was available to passengers via the internal Wi-Fi network on the planes. After the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine, a number of digital service providers, including major streaming services (Netflix, Spotify) suspended work in Russia.
