Company “Aeroflot» will update the wine list – passengers will be offered wine from the Krasnodar Territory. This was reported to Vedomosti in the press service of the airline. New brands will appear in the business class in August.
The list included red dry wines “Arena Gelendzhik-Krinitsa-Betta” and “Southern Forest Divnomorskoye”, white dry “Cold Fog Divnomorskoye” and “Sunny Wind Divnomorskoye”, as well as sparkling wine “Chateau Tamagne Select Blanc Brut. It is noted that economy class passengers can already try the dry red “Ancelotte Krasnostop”, and the white dry “Pinot Grigio Anima Aristov” will appear in the near future.
“The supplier was determined earlier in the course of an open tender procedure. One of the leading Russian producers whose wine is offered on Aeroflot flights is Usadba Divnomorskoye. The terroir of the winery is located in the southernmost part of the Krasnodar Territory – in Gelendzhik,” the representative office said.
The airline notes that it supports the domestic producer and constantly expands the range of Russian wines on board.
On July 20, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin supported the initiative of Sergey Altukhov, a member of the Duma Committee on Economic Policy, to introduce a ban on the promotion and sale of wine from unfriendly countries in public catering areas and transport facilities.
“Here is the magazine of a major Russian airline, in which French, Spanish and Italian wines are offered to our citizens and passengers. The situation is similar in other airlines. In fact, we are promoting wine products from countries that are unfriendly to us, and they, in turn, supply weapons to Kyiv,” Altukhov said at the plenary session on Thursday. The MP proposed to apply to the government to change the relevant legal acts.
Volodin, in turn, noted that state-owned companies and corporations should “in every possible way” contribute to the support of the Russian commodity producer. He clarified that there should be a choice, but where “state-owned companies have the opportunity to support domestic producers, they should do so.”
