Aeroflot Group CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky announced the stabilization of air ticket prices. According to him, the group does not expect a significant deviation in their value until the end of 2023. At the same time, he noted that in 2024 an increase in cost is possible, but within the limits of inflation.
“Now, taking into account the fact that airlines have come out of the high season, prices have more or less stabilized. We definitely don’t expect any significant deviations by the end of the year. Next year, taking into account the achieved base of 2023, growth is expected to be at the level of inflation, unless there is some extreme increase in other expenses – kerosene, airport expenses, increased leasing rates, and so on,” Mr. Aleksandrovsky said at a briefing within the framework of the EEF. In total, by the end of 2024, Aeroflot expects to transport at least 47 million people, which is 2.6% higher than in 2021 and 22.5% lower than in 2019. In 2023, according to Sergei Aleksandrovsky, the plan is 45 million passengers.
