Actress Moscow Art Theater Chekhov claims to be the Tver Minister of Culture

The Moscow Art Theater is on its last days of vacation – the troupe will open its 125th season on September 2, but it seems that the actress Lavrova-Glinka will be missing. Ksenia is preparing to go on promotion. True, this has not yet been announced, but for some reason it is written about her work on the theater’s website in the past tense – “played”, and then the list of performances is more than a dozen. Few people know about her possible transition to leading bureaucratic work – in the theater management and some from her inner circle.

The news, of course, is unexpected and intriguing – why from actresses and suddenly to officials, to power? Why Tver region, and, let’s say, not Vladimir or Kirov?

In answer to the second question, the logic is still visible: Ksenia is a native of the Tver region, she never forgot her small Motherland, she goes there a lot with speeches and on business, she is active, keeps in touch with representatives of local authorities. Does this give her reason to lead the cultural industry? Who knows where someone was born, but where it came in handy is another question.

Until now, Ksenia Lavrova-Glinka has come in handy in Moscow, where in 1998 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (course of Oleg Tabakov) and worked – first in the troupe of the Et cetera Theater directed by A. Kalyagin, and made her bright debut on the stage of the Art Theater in 2001 in the play “#13” as Jane, the mistress of a member of parliament, whom this same member kept hiding in the cabinets of hotel room number 13. Four years later, the young actress was accepted into the troupe of the Artistic.

Colleagues were very surprised, according to them, the current minister, Tatyana Salnikova, copes with her duties quite well, she is not an accidental person in culture, she previously worked at the Tver Philharmonic, and is considered the first minister of culture in the history of the Tver region. So the intrigue remains, and we should wait for its resolution.
