After the start of the special operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, major film studios decided to refuse to distribute their films in Russia. Many Russian celebrities believe that this is not a loss, but an opportunity for Russian cinema to prove itself. In particular, actress Anastasia Makeeva believes that the withdrawal of foreign films from distribution will give way to our cinema.
In an interview with the Paragraph telegram channel, Makeeva said that now is “the time” for the revival of Russian cinema. The artist stressed that the domestic film market is large, and the audience in our country loves cinema very much.
According to the actress, at the moment it’s time to impress Russians with the art of cinema, because Russia has everything for this, from good scripts to artists and cameramen.
Makeeva added that in the past, what was profitable was sold, but now that the market has been freed, she believes that Russian cinema will take off. Moreover, according to her, modern films from Russia are waiting in China, Mexico and even Europe.
