Actor Mikhail Filippov left the Mayakovsky Theater

Bad news from the theatre. Vladimir Mayakovsky – his troupe is leaving one of his famous artists, one might say, the coryphaeus Mikhail Filippov. He was not even stopped by the fact that he served in the theater for 50 (!!!) years.

I got through to Mikhail Ivanovich, and he confirmed that he had indeed applied for resignation from the theater. To my question: “Why?” did not expand on the reasons for his decision and only said: “We need to change the atmosphere. The soul demands something else.”

– I do not think that your statement will please the new artistic director of “Mayakovka” Yegor Peregudov. Will probably persuade you to stay

– We meet tomorrow. I don’t know, I don’t know, but for me this issue is resolved,” the artist said and added: “Believe me, I’m leaving with a heavy heart.

According to my information, an outstanding actor will not sit without work. This season he may already start working at the Maly Theatre. There he recently went on stage, replacing a sick artist in a performance.

In any case, for Maly, such an artist as Mikhail Filippov is a great acquisition, but for Mayakovka it is a loss.
