Roskosmos announced its intention to send into orbit the seagull depicted on the curtain of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov. The state corporation noted that on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the oldest theater in Moscow, several joint projects are planned. Thus, a tour is planned to the Baikonur Cosmodrome with a special production. Also, the symbol of the theater can be placed on the emblem of one of the future crews of the ISS.
“The seagull is gaining altitude and is sent into space,” says a video published by Roscosmos. “Very soon, a fragment of the legendary Moscow Art Theater curtain will go into orbit.”
The corporation recalled that the famous curtain was designed by the architect Fyodor Shekhtel.
