After twelve years in detective fiction, the interpreter of Amanda Rollins announced his departure in a press release.

The 24th season of the American series, created by Dick Wolf, will therefore be marked by the departure of Inspector Amanda Rollins.

Twelve years after her first appearance on screen, the actress decided to leave the series, leaving this character beloved by fans. “There’s no other TV character like Rollins. She grew and changed, just like me. I’m really happy to have spent so many of my adult years with this character in my life.”she wrote gratefully.
Kelli Giddish appeared at the very beginning of season 13 of Law & Order: SVU. Broadcast in September 2011 in the United States on the NBC channel and in July 2012 on TF1 in France, this episode is directly inspired by the Dominique Strauss-Kahn affair.
In her post, the now 42-year-old actress thanked the entire cast, crew, production and creator Dick Wolf for “this incredible team for the past twelve years”.
A longevity record
To conclude his message, the interpreter of Rollins says to himself “so excited to apply everything she learned in her future projects”. The detective series titled in English, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit is the longest running primetime series to date in American television history.
