The Tyumen open-air cinema Gorkiy Cinema was the first in Russia to start showing a screen copy of the Barbie movie. The first to report it Ura.ru. Shows were held on 8 and 9 August.
A standard ticket for “Barbie” in the Tyumen cinema costs from 300 rubles. By words film critic Ilya Dolenko, for this money they show “a screen with a shitty polyphonic voice acting and an advertisement for a bookmaker’s office.”
Previously Barbie posters noticed in Yekaterinburg, however, there is no information about these screenings on the websites of local cinemas yet. Some Telegram channels announce the start of Barbie shows in Perm, but the audience complained about the poor image.
On August 8, the Ministry of Culture announced that did not receive applications for the rental of “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” in Russia. The film was released worldwide on July 20. In three weeks, Barbie grossed more than $1 billion worldwide. It is the first film made by a woman to do so.
