A container ship that was denied bunkering in China has been refueled – Kommersant

The FESCO company clarified the situation with the Moskva container ship, which was refused in bunkering in China. It is currently refueled and moving along the route. As the company notes, the bunkering difficulties were of a “temporary technical nature.”
“We are always in contact with Chinese partners and Russian relevant departments in order to promptly resolve emerging issues,” FESCO told Kommersant. However, the company did not specify where or by whom the container ship was refueled.
Andrey Severilov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the transport company FESCO, spoke about problems with Moskva bunkering today. He suggested that the ship was refused because of the Russian beneficiary. At the same time, Mr. Severilov admitted that the refusal of bunkering could be associated with the upcoming Chinese New Year.
The container ship Moskva joined the FESCO fleet at the beginning of 2023. The ship sails between the ports of China and St. Petersburg under the flag of Liberia.
