In the former Impromptu Theater, a bust of its founder, the beautiful Sovremennik actress Lyudmila Ivanovna Ivanova, Shura’s favorite trade unionist from the film Office Romance, was unveiled. Lyudmila Ivanovna was born on the first day of the war and always said that he was the most important in her life, not only because she was born, but precisely because terrible grief had come to her beloved country. And, raising a toast at the festive table, the first thing she remembered was those who gave their lives for their Motherland.
In 2016, Lyudmila Ivanova passed away, and the theater she founded was orphaned, as always happens when a troupe loses a leader. Without her, problems began: “Impromptu” was merged with the Theater of the Young Actor under the direction of Alexander Fedorov. And the sad story of all Moscow mergers was repeated: a conflict arose in the troupe, a split into friends and foes, some of the actors left, some were fired. Until now, the relationship between old and new employees can hardly be called positive.
Maybe that’s why for 7 years neither a memorial plaque nor a bust of the founder of a wonderful children’s and family theater could be installed here. But it seems that common sense and grateful memory prevailed – on Thursday, in the middle of the day, in the foyer of the theater on Makarenko Street, located on the right side of Sovremennik, the native theater of Lyudmila Ivanova, a bust of the actress, director appeared. The author of the bust is her son Ivan Milyaev.
The opening was attended by the leaders of the theater, the actors of the new troupe and fragments of the old one, the same Ivanovo one, which she had carefully assembled for several years. However, the solemnity of the moment spoiled the detail, not visible to admirers of the talent of the actress. It turned out that not everyone was invited to the opening, although it would seem that the memory of the creator, the builder of the theater, and finally, the beautiful actress should reconcile people. And the leadership (in any case, it has the last word) should show wisdom and not divide and rule, but unite and humble. But, as we were told by the actors who had worked with Ivanovna for many years, they invited, alas, selectively. Why?
And with the financing of the production of the bust, as it turned out, the story came out not very pretty. As a source from the theater told us, at first, in the general chat, the actors were offered to chip in, but the proposal was not supported by everyone. You can understand the artists – someone has a very penny salary, and to initiate the appearance of a monument or a bust is still the business of a theater that has serious municipal support. The cost is only 120 thousand rubles, but in fact it is like this: 50 thousand were allocated by the administration, and 10 “were scraped by the bottom of the barrel from the actors,” our source said.
But be that as it may, the very fact of the appearance of the bust in the theater, which was created by Lyudmila Ivanova, cannot but rejoice. In any case, the spectators who come to the small theater on Makarenko Street will know who built it for them.
