The ITR company, a subsidiary of VK, bought out 87.2% of the Interactive Video Technologies company from Sberbank. It owns Movika, a platform for creating and viewing interactive videos. The deal took place on October 6th. Its cost is not disclosed.
As representatives of the VK service explained in a conversation with Interfax, the deal is in line with the “strategy for the development of content services.” VK develops such services as VK Clips and VK Video. In September, the company within exchange assets with “Yandex” received the platforms “Zen” and “News”.
“Daughter” of Sberbank “Digital Assets” redeemed Movika in March 2021. It was assumed that the platform technologies would be included in the Sberbank ecosystem. The parent company Movika was registered in 2020 in Kazan. Sergey Solonin, co-founder of the Qiwi payment service, invested $500,000 in this startup.
