According to Financial Times, citing unnamed knowledgeable sources, OpenAI’s annual revenue exceeded $2 billion. It is noted that the ChatGPT chatbot developer reached this mark in December 2023. According to the same sources, the company intends to double this figure this year.
If these figures are somehow confirmed, OpenAI, founded in 2015, will be among the technology companies that managed to achieve annual revenues of over $1 billion in the first ten years after its founding. Such companies include, for example, Google and Meta (recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned).
