The dollar exchange rate dropped below 89 rubles – Kommersant

The dollar on the Moscow Exchange dropped below 89 rubles. for the first time since December 29, 2023. As of 9:52, the currency is trading at 88.84 rubles/$. (–0.485 kopecks from the beginning of trading).
At the same time, there is a decrease in the value of the European currency to 97.45 rubles/€ (–0.55 kopecks since the beginning of trading). The yuan at 10:02 fell slightly – to 12.355 rubles. (–0.05 kopecks from the opening of the trading day).

The American currency ended 2023 at 90.36 rubles, having added almost 20.5 rubles over the year. (29.3%). This figure was the worst since 2014, when the dollar rose by 23 rubles to 55.9 rubles.
