President Vladimir Putin distributed instructions following a meeting with the government on August 16. Among other things, he proposed considering the issue of introducing price regulation for fuel oil “supplied for the heating season.”
The instructions of the head of state relate to co-financing the costs of the Murmansk region and other regions whose territories are part of the Arctic zone in preparation for the 2023–2024 heating season. It is proposed to compensate for the increase in prices for fuel oil “supplied for heat supply purposes.”
Instructions have been given to the government. The report must be submitted by October 15, 2023 and February 1, 2024. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible.
