Russians in June for the first time simultaneously reduced all foreign currency savings: cash, on deposits in Russian and foreign banks, with brokers. On January 1, they had currency worth 3.88 trillion rubles, on July 1 – 3.94 trillion rubles. However, due to a significant weakening of the ruble in dollars (at the rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on the corresponding date of each month), they decreased from $55.1 billion to $44.6 billion. Over the past month, they have decreased by $1.7 billion.
Cash savings in dollar terms in June fell by 1.2%, to $95.2 billion (8.4 trillion rubles), funds in brokerage accounts – by 9%, to $2.9 billion (257.4 billion rubles). . A slight reduction in funds was also recorded on foreign currency deposits in foreign banks, which had previously grown both in rubles and in dollar terms.
