“Aeroflot PJSC CEO Sergey Aleksandrovsky and United Aircraft Corporation PJSC (UAC, part of Rostec) CEO Yuri Slyusar signed an agreement of intent regarding the acquisition of 339 domestically produced aircraft,” the report says.
According to the agreement, on a lease basis from 2023 to 2030. Aeroflot will receive 210 MS-21s, 89 Superjet-NEWs and 40 Tu-214s. It is noted that the first two Superjet airlines will be handed over next year, and the delivery of the first MS-21 and Tu-214 is scheduled for 2024.
“Today we signed the largest agreement on the acquisition of domestic aircraft in the entire recent history of Aeroflot,” Aleksandrovsky said. The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, told RIA Novosti that the contract amount exceeded 1 trillion rubles, which is an absolute record.
Now Aeroflot has 183 aircraft in its fleet – five SSJ100s, the rest are Boeing and Airbus in various modifications.
