Thus, 97% of micro-companies will not use the automated simplified taxation system (AUTS), which will work in Russia from January 1, 2023.
Most of the respondents (47%) noted that their companies do not meet the formal requirements for using the new system. The fact is that AUSN is designed for individual entrepreneurs and organizations that employ no more than five people and whose annual income does not exceed 60 million rubles.
39% of respondents complained about high tax rates. As in the case of the standard simplified tax system (STS), payers can choose the object of taxation – “income” or “income reduced by the amount of expenses.” The problem is that the rates for AUTS are higher than for the simplified tax system: 8 and 20%, respectively, against 6 and 15%.
Another 13% referred to individual reasons: lack of trust with the IFTS, the desire to independently manage payments for taxes and fees, the “dampness” of the system, etc.
Zinaida Albantova, an expert from Aktion Accounting, explained the unpopularity of the AUSN by the fact that companies are wary of innovations. “Business wants to wait until the system is debugged and it starts to work without failures,” she added.
