“70 thousand is spent on medicines alone”: Natalya Fateeva complained about the size of her pension

The actress put aside “something” during her years of creative activity

In Soviet times, Natalya Fateeva was admired by everyone without exception. Her heroines – the trainer Zoya from “Three Plus Two” and the daughter of Professor Maltsev from “Gentlemen of Fortune” – immediately became people’s favorites. Now Fateeva is 88 years old. She has not acted for a long time and leads a virtually reclusive lifestyle. Natalya Nikolaevna lives on a pension, which she assures her is sorely lacking. Fateeva told MK about this.

Several years ago, Fateeva began to have health problems: the actress underwent a series of severe surgeries on her leg. The artist believes that during another surgical intervention on her leg, doctors introduced an infection into her body, which is why she is now forced to walk on crutches.

“I receive two pensions,” says Natalya Nikolaevna. – One that I earned. And another – the bonus that Sobyanin gave to us (artists with titles – author). And still this money is never enough, because medicines are very expensive. For example, I have 70 years of work experience: I continue to count at work even now.

— Without allowances, I receive 35 thousand rubles a month. And I have to pay 70 thousand for medicines. Some of my medications cost almost three thousand. Moreover, these are quite simple medications: calcium replenishment, for example.

– But it’s still somehow a lot – 70 thousand!

— I don’t buy medicine every month: I can’t go to the pharmacy. I buy them once every three months. Therefore, this amount is obtained. I paid 70 thousand for the necessary medications before. Now I will take past checks to write out names. Surely the amount will be even greater. Now, they say, everything has become more expensive. Medicines must be expensive. But we must receive normal money to be able to buy them and take care of ourselves.

– How much do you need to earn?

“We weren’t born yesterday: at one time I put something aside.” I also get, thank God, money from the film actor’s theater, otherwise it would have been difficult.

Now Fateeva spends most of her time at home. This year the artist has a kind of anniversary – 10 years since the release of her last film.

– What kind of stupid anniversary is this? – Fateeva is surprised. – I don’t even want to talk about this topic. They always come up with some kind of anniversary: ​​either a film in which I starred is forty years old, or it’s 10 years since my last film… I don’t worry about not acting. In order to work, you need health. I don’t have one. I was recently invited to work: I couldn’t. I can’t do this.

At the same time, Fateeva does not watch old films with her participation. He says he’s not interested.

“I watched my films twice,” explains the artist. – Once when he came out. And the second time was when I came across him on TV. I’m not interested in watching anymore, because I still remember every frame: how it was filmed, in what conditions…. If I were a narcissistic fool, I would sit in front of the TV and enjoy what happened a hundred years ago. I do not like it.
