500 billion rubles are needed to expand the Rossiya highway to Vladivostok. – Kommersant

The development of the Rossiya transport corridor to Vladivostok, including its repair and expansion of capacity, will require 500 billion rubles. until 2030. This was stated on the sidelines of the EEF by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. According to him, these funds are already provided for in the budget.

“In fact, we have an existing route from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. We are currently engaged in its reconstruction and expansion. We have the first part – these are bypasses of cities, because when transport enters cities, residents are inconvenienced and transport greatly loses speed through cities,” he clarified (quoted from “RIA News”).

As part of this work, according to Mr. Khusnullin, in 2024 it is planned to build a road bypass of Kemerovo. He added that the route from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok is being “improved in stages.” “Through bypasses of cities, through the expansion of existing highways: where there are two lanes, we make four, and where there are four, we make six to eight lanes, such as, for example, the approach to Yekaterinburg,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The head of Avtodor, Vyacheslav Petushenko, said that the Rossiya transport corridor, which envisages travel from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok by 2030, will pass through Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Chita. The corridor includes the M-11 highways from St. Petersburg to Moscow, the Central Ring Road near Moscow, as well as the M-12 Moscow-Kazan. In addition, the project involves the reconstruction of existing roads.
