The Atom electric car from the Russian automaker Kama has been pre-ordered 36,000 times. About it reported in the press service of the company in a commentary to RIA Novosti.

They noted that after placing a pre-order, the client received a key to access the user’s personal account. According to information on the automaker’s website, the cost of booking an electric car was 7,000 rubles. The final price of the car has not yet been disclosed. According to Kama General Director Igor Povarazdnyuk, it will correspond to the mass price segment.
Pre-order for “Atom” was open at the end of July. Previously Povarazdnyuk reported, that serial assembly of the electric car will begin in the summer of 2025. Later it became known that the car will be assembled at the Moskvich plant. According to the general director of Kama, by taxi standards the electric car will be in the segment between the “comfort” and “comfort+” classes.
It is expected that the electric vehicle will be available for export to the markets of China and Southeast Asia. The company’s general director also stated that in the future Atom could enter foreign markets as an automaker and engage in assembly abroad.
“Atom” is the Kama project, which was founded in the summer of 2021. The main investors of the project are the general director of Kamaz Sergey Kogogin, directly “Kamaz“and businessman Ruben Vardanyan, who transferred his shares to the trust management of the family foundation.
