In the Krasnodar Territory, 20,000 pigs may be killed due to the outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) at the SSHC OOO Trading House Yaseni in the Aleksandrovsky rural settlement of the Yeysk district. Quarantine was established on the territory of the enterprise. The threat zone is defined as a territory with a radius of 10 km from the source of infection. It included the settlements of Stepnoy, Yasnopolsky, Simonovka, Sadovy, Shirochanka, Sadovy, Dawn farms, Zelenaya Roshcha and the village of Aleksandrovka.
“Currently, measures aimed at preventing the spread and eradication of ASF foci are being carried out in accordance with the approved plan,” said Roman Bublik, head of the Yeysk district.
Among other measures, the decree introduced a ban on slaughter, import, export of animals, holding agricultural fairs, exhibitions and other events. There is a ban on all types of hunting, except for measures to regulate the number of hunting resources.
The pig-breeding complex “Trading house “Yaseni”” was opened in 2022. The agreement on the construction of the enterprise was signed in 2019 at the site of the Russian Investment Forum. The volume of investments amounted to 1.4 billion rubles. The production capacity of the complex was designed for 1650 sows of the broodstock and more than 40 thousand heads of pigs per year.
