1,800 Russian planes and helicopters will be delivered by 2030 – Kommersant

The head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Dmitry Yadrov, said that the agency and domestic airlines expect the delivery of 1,800 modern Russian-made aircraft and helicopters by 2030.

“Rosaviation specialists are already working on certification of several new types of aircraft: these are the import-substituted Sukhoi Superjet, Baikal and other types,” Mr. Yadrov said during a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy (quote from “Prime”).

Also, according to him, the department has planned the reconstruction of about 15 regional airports as part of the ground infrastructure development program.

By data The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, a total of 107.9 billion rubles will be spent from the federal budget on aircraft manufacturing and comprehensive support for the aviation industry in 2024–2026.

Previously “Kommersant” reportedthat deliveries of regional domestic Il-114 aircraft, which were supposed to replace the outdated An-24 from 2023, have been postponed to the end of 2025 due to the suspension of flight tests and certification work on the engine after the Kubinka disaster in 2021. Kommersant’s sources in the industry expected a shift in deadlines for other civil aircraft projects, in particular the SJ-100.
