Over the past year, 1 thousand Russian companies appeared in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the head of Propersonnel, thanks to the “cultural code”, companies opening in the UAE hire Russian-speaking top managers. “As it turned out, everyone has a very good education and knowledge of the language. This gave a boost both to their economy and to our specialists.”
Russians are in demand in the UAE, and in many industries, added Tatyana Dolyakova. “To go and work there as an “expat”, and then return with new skills and knowledge is a big advantage, there was no such opportunity before. Only people with unique competencies left, like programmers who were taken to America, or doctors. There was a so-called talent visa (visa for qualified personnel.— “Ъ”). Now any industry is in demand – real estate, retail, horeca, digital. Moreover, you don’t need work experience, you can just be active,” summed up Ms. Dolyakova.
