Manufacturer Jаgermeister suspended deliveries to Russia

Manufacturer Jagermeister has officially suspended deliveries to Russia, suppliers have already notified restaurants of a price increase for the remaining liquor. This was stated to RIA Novosti by the vice-president of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia Sergey Mironov. The manufacturer’s suspension of deliveries to Russia and marketing activities is also mentioned in a letter from the Russian distributor Jagermeister Rust Group to its partners dated November 1. Kommersant got acquainted with the letter.

“The manufacturer has officially suspended deliveries to Russia, distributors are looking for supply options and will find them after some time. At the same time, suppliers have already notified the restaurants about the increase in prices for the Jagermeister that was left in stock,” said Mr. Mironov.

As stated in a letter from Rust to partners, due to the suspension of supplies, the distributor is forced to temporarily cancel discounts on brand products, and carry out shipments based on the actual availability of the drink. It is emphasized that Rust is doing everything possible to restore the full supply of Jagermeister and resume marketing programs. Rust did not provide an operational comment. Manufacturer Jagermeister has not yet officially announced the cessation of supplies.

According to a Kommersant source in the market, the owner of the Jagermeister brand suspended deliveries to Russia in the summer, and so far Rust has been selling off the rest of its products. According to Kommersant’s interlocutors, the new batch may enter the market in the near future.

Earlier, a British company left Russia Diageo (Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Baileys, Captain Morgan and other alcohol brands), as well as a French distributor Pernod Ricard (Jameson and Absolut).
