French Alstom sold a stake in Transmashholding to Russian shareholders

The deal to sell shares of Transmashholding (TMH) to the French company Alstom, which produces the Allegro high-speed trains, has been completed, said Kirill Lipa, general director and co-owner of the Russian machine-building holding.“Prime”” The transaction amount was €75 million, Alstom said.

Transmashholding, through the Cypriot Transmashholding, belongs to the companies of businessmen Andrei Bokarev, Iskandar Makhmudov, the company’s general director Kirill Lipa and the chairman of the board of directors of TMH Dmitry Komissarov. Their share was 79.4%, 20% belonged to the French Alstom.
In May 2023, TMH’s subsidiary Metrovagonmash came under American sanctions, and in September Transmashholding itself came under sanctions. After this, the French Alstom decided to withdraw from the shareholders.
