Russia and Kazakhstan signed agreement on increasing the transit of Russian oil to China to 10 million tons per year via the Tuymazy-Omsk-Novosibirsk-2 oil pipeline and in the Atasu (Kazakhstan)-Alashankou (China) direction. The document also assumes that Kazakhstan will annually send up to 1 million tons of oil and stable gas condensate to the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PPCP) in transit through Russia.
Supplies of oil and gas condensate to the PNHZ will take place along the route Atyrau—Samara—Tuymazy—Omsk—Novosibirsk-2—Priirtyshsk—PNHZ, the document notes.
On January 1, Kaztransoil JSC, the national operator of Kazakhstan, announced an increase in tariffs for pumping Russian oil through its section of the TON-2 pipeline from January 1, now the cost of transit over a distance of 1 thousand km is $11.28 per ton (excluding VAT). The TON-2 main pipeline has a throughput capacity of 10 million tons per year. Its section with a length of 186.25 km runs through the territory of Kazakhstan.
