Trademarks of Sberbank, Kalashnikov and RT confiscated in Finland – Kommersant

The Finnish Debt Collection Authority announced the confiscation of trademarks and logos of the companies ANO TV-Novosti (founder of Russia Today), Sberbank and Kalashnikov registered in the country, the Finnish broadcasting company reports Yle.
The confiscation was carried out as part of the application of EU economic sanctions to these companies. Confiscation of trademarks means that their owners will not be able to use them in Finland, Yle reports.
RT stated “RIA News”that they had not received any official notification. “According to our information, in the trademark database of the World Intellectual Property Organization it is listed as protected in this country, among other things. Of course, if the information is confirmed in the future, we will use all legal means to challenge this,” the channel’s press service told the agency.
