Volleyball players from Fakel from Novy Urengoy lost to an opponent from St. Petersburg on their home court. This was reported on September 12 by the Yamal volleyball club.

"In the second round match of the Super League, Novy Urengoy's Fakel Yamal hosted Zenit from St. Petersburg on its home court. The Yamal team managed to put up a fight against the guests from the northern capital, but the endings of the games were often won by the more experienced players in the blue-white-blue uniform. The Yamal team will complete the series of home matches with a meeting with Surgut's Gazprom-Yugra on September 16.
