The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources, informs allegedly Moscow and Tehran intend to build a plant in Russia that could produce Iranian-designed drones.

According to the newspaper’s interlocutors, a high-level Iranian delegation allegedly flew to Russia in early January to discuss the details of the project necessary for its launch and to see the site of the future plant.

The article says both countries are aiming to produce a faster drone that will create new challenges for Ukraine’s air defense.

Earlier, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya called Russia’s accusations that it allegedly uses Iranian drones in Ukraine far-fetched.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Tehran does not send weapons to the parties to the Ukrainian conflict and Iran bases its foreign policy on the rejection of hostilities. Tehran has also repeatedly expressed readiness for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
