It is worth noting that for the first time in six years, the same athlete was able to win Grand Slam tournaments twice in a season. The last time such a result was achieved in 2016 was the German Angelique Kerber.
Swiatek owns the longest winning streak in the 21st century – 37 matches in a row. The girl has topped the rankings of the Women’s Tennis Association since April this year. The tennis player became the first representative of Poland to get to the 1st line of the WTA.
