Who can access the “unfriendly” currency // Rules of the game
[ad_1]
In early March, the Central Bank extended the restrictions on the receipt of cash by individuals for another six months. From foreign currency accounts or deposits opened before March 9, 2022, the depositor still cannot withdraw more than $10,000 (or the equivalent in another “unfriendly” currency). The rest of the funds can be received in rubles. The amount to be paid out cannot be less than that calculated on the day of payment at the official exchange rate of the Central Bank for funds placed on the account before September 9, 2022. Funds placed after this date are issued at the rate of the bank. Banks can sell to citizens only those dollars and euros that have entered their cash desks since April 9, 2022. Until September 9, 2023, resident legal entities can receive cash for travel expenses based on the established payment standards, but not more than $5,000. Ksenia Dementyeva
