What does the Ministry of Labor offer to insure – Economics – Kommersant

The Ministry of Labor proposes to consider ten life situations as insured events for a new type of insurance. These include illness or injury, abortion or in vitro fertilization procedure, caring for a sick family member, including a child, prosthetics, treatment in sanatorium and resort organizations after inpatient treatment, quarantine of the insured, his preschool child under the age of 7 years or an incapacitated member families. As follows from the presentation of the Ministry of Labor, those who wish to insure themselves will be able to do this in the My Tax application, where contributions can either be transferred personally or set up auto payment. The payment to the insured will be credited to the bank account of his choice within ten working days.

As follows from the presentation of the Ministry of Labor, the insurance period of the employee, thanks to which the amount of payment for his insured event will be determined, will be considered not only the period of self-employment, but also the time that the insured was subject to compulsory social insurance, that is, he was an officially registered employee.
