Western countries are to blame for the aggravation of the conflict in Ukraine – President of Mexico

The reasons for the aggravation of the confrontation in Ukraine is the position of Western countries, said Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
The head of state noted that what is happening in Ukraine is an opportunity to satisfy their interests for the NATO bloc, a number of world powers, as well as lobbyists and enterprises of the military-industrial complex, but the cost of aggravating the conflict is the suffering of both the people of Ukraine and people around the world.
Lopez Obrador noted that the sanctions against Russia and the militarization of Ukraine contributed to the aggravation of the situation.
The Mexican leader also accused the UN and the leading countries of the world of neglecting their responsibility to ensure a peaceful settlement and dialogue. He noted that in this situation it is difficult not to think that this conflict is “inspired by the interests of the military industry.”
