VTsIOM: 24% of Russians began to save more on food since March

According to the VTsIOM poll, 24% of Russians agree that they have started saving more on food since March 2022. Another 11% rather agree, 51% of respondents disagree or rather disagree.

Among those who began to save more on food, young people are the most: 26% of respondents are aged 18 to 24 years. Another 22% are between 35 and 44 years old.

32% agree or rather agree that they have begun to save more on hairdressing, cosmetics, and beauty salons. Of these, 40% are women and 24% are men. Disagree or rather disagree with this 27%. For 39%, this topic is not relevant.

The survey was conducted on November 19–20. It was attended by 1,600 Russians over 18 years old. The marginal sampling error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 2.5%. The results of the study are cited by RIA Novosti.

October survey of the SuperJob service showedthat 46% of Russians are trying to save more after the start of the military operation in Ukraine.
