The head of VTB Andrey Kostin said that the bank plans to place its shares on the open market in the second quarter of 2023.
“The second additional issue, which we are planning in the second quarter, is purely commercial,” Mr. Kostin said on Rossiya 24 (quoted by Interfax).
He added that the credit institution will place securities on the open market, the bank has preliminary applications for 120 billion rubles. According to the head of VTB, he plans to receive at least 270 billion rubles in the capital of the first level of the bank. during the first half of the year, thus solving the capital problem.
Earlier, VTB announced an increase in the bank’s authorized capital by 302 billion rubles. by placing additional ordinary shares in the amount of 30 trillion with a nominal value of 0.01 rubles. each.
