VTB Confirms Acquisition of PGK – Kommersant
VTB (MOEX: VTBR) acquired the First Freight Company (PGK). “We bought it,” VTB CEO Andrey Kostin said on the sidelines of the VEF. “While it is ours, the management is ours too.” Kommersant wrote about the bank’s acquisition of PGK on August 7.
According to Mr. Kostin, VTB is currently “thinking” about further plans regarding PGK. “We have a principle that we try not to hold on for long,” he explained, “especially since the Central Bank is pushing us to do so, strictly limiting us.” He reported that VTB bought the asset based on an assessment of more than 200 billion rubles, taking into account the debt.
