Volgograd basketball player Ksenia Schmidt summed up the season
Last season, Dynamo basketball players took 2nd place in the championship of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts. The team featured the experienced Ksenia Schmidt.
The main competitors of the Volgograd team in the fight for the trophy were Peresvet-YuFU-2 from Rostov-on-Don. According to Ksenia Schmidt, last season the games against this team were better than before, the opponents no longer had such an advantage as before. And in the home game, Dynamo managed to achieve victory.
It was in the Final Four match between Peresvet-SFU-2 and Dynamo that the fate of the tournament was decided. The game was tense, and the Volgograd team lost by only 6 points – 63:69.
Before the final, the Dynamo team played a difficult match against their opponents from Cherkessk. At the end of the match, the Volgograd team was losing by 11 points, but in the end they managed to take the game into overtime, where they managed to win with a score of 85:79, Ksenia Schmidt recalls in interview with "Volgogradskaya Pravda.ru".
