The Moscow company has significantly reduced the manufacturing time of the watch escapement part thanks to its own developments. Details were revealed by Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

“The designers of the Moscow enterprise Polet-Kronos designed a cutting tool for more precise processing of watch parts compared to previously used devices,” the official said. He added that the development had reduced the production time for a batch of escape wheels, an important part of the escapement mechanism, from a week to a few hours.

Established in 1997 on the basis of the First Moscow Watch Factory Polet, the company manufactures marine chronometers, as well as deck and wrist watches. Since 2016, the company has been producing watches under the 6MX brand. Over the years, more than 15 thousand watches have been produced especially for sailors.

“Several years ago, the company was faced with the challenge of updating the escape wheel tool for the manufacture of deck clocks. Our design engineers were able to cope with the task in two years and design a special cutter,” said Alexei Tkachenko, Deputy General Director of the plant.

The modernization of production facilities in Moscow allows businesses to significantly increase sales of products and enter new markets. More than 20 support measures are available to enterprises, as well as a set of anti-crisis tools.
