Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as the heads of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the Georgievsky Hall of the Kremlin signed agreements on the accession of these regions to Russia.
Before that, Vladimir Putin spoke to senators, deputies, representatives of the Russian government, the clergy and the public. In particular, he said that the new subjects are forever part of Russia. The President also called on the Ukrainian authorities to stop hostilities, respect the choice of the people who voted in the referendums for joining the Russian Federation, and sit down at the negotiating table.
