The governor of the Vladimir region, Alexander Avdeev, demanded that his colleagues not PR on the topic of mobilization. His appeal was published in Telegram channel regional branch of “United Russia”, which is headed by the head of the region.

“Dear countrymen! Comrades! In this difficult time, when the country is facing a decisive choice, I urge you, and I demand from my comrades-in-arms to be conscious not only in actions, but also in words. Everyone is responsible for what he writes or says. And if we are talking about a representative of the government, a party, a public organization, the level of responsibility is many times higher. It is unacceptable that the desire to be on the wave of a hot topic overshadows the interests of the state and society. Russia is waiting for patriotism not in words, but in deeds,” said Mr. Avdeev.

Last week, United Russia Legislative Assembly Vice Speaker Roman Kavinov declared about readiness to be mobilized. “As a junior reserve officer who has not reached the age of 50, I am potentially included in the list of persons to be mobilized as part of the first stage. I informed the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir Region, Vladimir Kiselev, and the Secretary of the Regional Branch of the United Russia Party, Governor Alexander Avdeev, of my readiness to take part in the mobilization call,” wrote Mr. Kavinov.

According to a local publication, “Zebra” Mr. Kiselev asked the deputy “not to advertise the desire to be mobilized, so that he would not be accused of PR if the summons did not come.” Then Roman Kavinov allegedly announced that he was ready to volunteer. Mr. Kiselev asked him not to do this. It is noted that United Russia thought that no one was listening to their dialogue, but the microphones in the meeting room of the Legislative Assembly worked, and the conversation became public.

Russian President Vladimir Putin September 21 announced on partial mobilization in Russia. Later, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that it was planned to mobilize 1% of the total mobilization resource, and 300,000 reservists would be sent to the combat zone. According to the assurances of the authorities, the mobilization will affect Russians who served in the army and have combat experience.
