Vilfand told when the snow will finally melt in Moscow

The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, announced the dates when the snow will finally melt in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

According to the weatherman, this will happen in the first ten days of April, however, on the shaded sections of the streets and in the forests, the snow will melt only by the middle of the month.

Vilfand noted that now the temperature outside the window is three to five degrees lower than it would be without snow cover, since melting snow reflects the sun's rays, leaving the earth no chance to warm up and transfer heat.

The day before, the forecaster said that this week the air in the capital will warm up to plus 13 degrees, warning that in the last days of March in Central Russia, night temperatures will again be negative.
