Vice Speaker of the State Duma from the New People party Vladislav Davankov believes that it is necessary to develop a bill that will abolish homework in Russian schools, the press service of the party said. “RIA News”. According to Mr. Davankov, his son asked him to do this.

“When my son found out that I had become a deputy, he immediately asked me to write a law that would abolish homework. Today, at a meeting with the parents of Moscow, I realized that the time has come, ”the press service of the New People said.

Vladislav Davankov noted that he plans to discuss the issue of abolishing homework in schools at the next meeting with the Moscow Department of Education and Science. “This is a global experience. I am sure that the unloading of children and teachers will benefit everyone,” he stressed.

According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, students in grades 2-3 should not spend more than 1.5 hours a day doing homework, in grades 4-5 – more than 2 hours, in grades 6-8 – 2.5 hours , in the 9-11th – a maximum of 3.5 hours. There are no homework assignments in first grade.
