In total, since 2016, the Moscow City Land Committee has approved 211 hectares of land for lease by investors for the implementation of 48 large-scale investment projects (MaIP). Developers could get plots without bidding and for 5 years.

“Investors will build in the city the production of building materials, electronics, food products, clothing, furniture, medical products and other necessary goods. The volume of planned investments in these enterprises exceeds 130 billion rubles. Most of the approved projects – 14 – are in the construction industry,” said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

Implemented MaIP are at different stages of readiness. Three enterprises have already been launched. They produce building materials, automotive components and meat products.

“As a result of the implementation of 48 MaIPs, new production sites will appear in the capital, where more than 30,000 people will be able to work. For example, about 5.5 thousand citizens will have the opportunity to find a job in the construction industry, and more than two thousand people will be employed in food production plants,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
