“Very cool”: Putin was shown a new development for the Northern Military District zone
Vladimir Putin was shown a drone for military officers
Russian President Vladimir Putin highly appreciated the idea of students who developed a drone for war correspondents covering events in a special operation zone. The head of state was able to communicate with the creators of such a drone during a trip to the Rudnevo industrial park.
The drone is capable of taking photos and videos, as well as recording sound in combat conditions.
Vladimir Putin recalled that the work of military officers is fraught with serious risks. The Russian leader emphasized that “if this risk is minimized as a result of the use of your technology, this is very great.”
The President also noted that unmanned aircraft are fascinating and cannot help but be liked, “just don’t fly between wires.”
Sergei Shoigu, while heading the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, noted that some Russians are independently mastering the production of military equipment for the needs of special operations - one might say about the emergence of a national military-industrial complex in Russia. At the same time, ordinary garages are turning into “defense enterprises” where, among other things, drones are assembled.
Meanwhile, in St. Petersburg, on the basis of the military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" in 2025 there will be site for the production of marine drones — hulls and engines for boats with subsequent assembly.
