US confirms death of another American in Ukraine

The US State Department issued a confirmation of the death of an American citizen in Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports.
“We can confirm the recent death of a US citizen in Ukraine,” the statement said.
The name of the deceased has not been released, however. Before that, the US media released information that the deceased was a former marine named Peter Reed, who fought in the armed forces of Ukraine as a mercenary. During the period of the special operation in Ukraine, reports periodically appear about the death of American mercenaries.
In November, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that representatives of more than 60 countries, totaling more than 8,000, are participating in the military operations of Ukraine.
Most of the mercenaries are from Poland, the USA, Canada, Romania and Britain, while the legislation of these countries interprets mercenarism as a criminal act. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that more than 3,000 foreign fighters were killed, and the same number returned home.
