United Russia Vitaly Nazarenko became a senator from the Parliament of North Ossetia

As Kommersant expected, the deputies of the new convocation of the parliament of North Ossetia at today's meeting empowered the representative of the republic's legislative power in the Federation Council, a member of the United Russia (ER) faction, Vitaly Nazarenko. According to the State TV and Radio Company "Alania", for his candidacy voted 53 out of 70 parliamentarians, one person abstained. Previously, Mr. Nazarenko headed the United Russia faction.

In the last convocation, the post of senator was held by the leader of the North Ossetian cell of the Just Russia - For Truth (SRZP) party Arsen Fadzaev. He expected to extend his powers, but the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, said that the representative of the party that won the majority of votes in the elections should represent the region in the upper house of the federal parliament. Recall that according to the results of the vote on September 11, United Russia received 51 mandates in the North Ossetian parliament, SRZP - 10, and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation - 9. In response, Mr. Fadzaev promised that he would go "into tough opposition" to United Russia.

More about the situation - in the material "Kommersant" “United Russia insisted on their own”.
