The United Russia party submitted amendments to the State Duma, according to which the period of partial mobilization service will be counted as seniority. According to the amendments, employers must keep the jobs of mobilized employees. Family members of such servicemen will also receive additional guarantees.
“After demobilization, a serviceman will be able to return to the same organization and to the same position where he worked before entering military service under a contract or mobilization. The amendments will close the gaps in labor legislation, due to which now the employer is not obliged in such situations to keep the employee’s workplace and may terminate the employment contract,”— declared Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrey Turchak.
Also, according to Mr. Turchak, the amendments will make it possible to count the period spent in military service as work experience, leave additional insurance, non-state pension provision, and opportunities for improving social and living conditions for the employee.
Among the guarantees for families, the representative of the party named the right to maintain a job while reducing staff in the organization.
Since September 21, partial mobilization has been taking place in Russia, 300 thousand people are planning to call. Reservists with the necessary military specialties (gunners, tankers, gunners, drivers) and combat experience fall under mobilization – primarily soldiers, foremen and warrant officers under 35 years old and junior officers up to 50 years old. September 22, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved government decree, according to which jobs will be saved for citizens who have fallen under partial mobilization.
