Ukrainian figure skaters invited journalists to speak Russian

At the European Championships, Ukrainian figure skaters Violetta Serova and Ivan Hobta invited journalists to speak Russian, reports “Sport Express”.
After their performance, the athletes entered the mixed zone. Media representatives asked them to choose in which language – English or Ukrainian – to ask questions and receive answers.
“You can speak English, Ukrainian, Russian,” Hobta said. “As you wish.”
The journalists eventually decided to communicate with the debutants of the European Championship in English.
The tournament takes place in the Finnish city of Espoo.
